This larger lovely decorator polished rock is Stinking Water White Plume Agate and is 5.8 inches wide by 4.6 inches tall and just .9 inches at its thickest.
This natural semiprecious stone material piece could be recut into cabochons.
It does stand on its own but since it isn't very thick it is unstable.
Stinking Water Plume aka White Plume Agate is found near the Stinking Water creek, in eastern Oregon. This area, east of Burns, is quite famous for great rockhounding.
It has white to yellowish plumes in a gray white nearly transparent agate.
This rock is sliced and polished on one face, left natural rough everywhere else.
It does have natural surface flaws and crevices.
