This lapidary rough rock stone slab is 7.5 inches by 4 inches and about 1/4 inch or 5 mm thick.
This unpolished Tiger Iron slab weighs .62 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 2 pictures.
Tiger Iron comes from the Brockman Tiger Eye Mine in the Ord Ranges near Port Hedland in Western Australia's Pilbara region. The deposit only covers a small area in a harsh and rocky range of low hills that supports almost no vegetation other than the spiky spinifex grass.
Tiger Iron consists of Red Jasper, Hematite, and chatoyant golden Tiger's Eye.
