This Pyrite mineral specimen is 2.5 inches long by 1.5 inches wide and about .5 inch at its thickest.
Golden tiny Pyrite cubes with larger cubes around the edges.
This piece does have some natural fracture lines-visible in the pictures!
These pieces were found near the Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport in Texas. This locality is now extinct, as runway expansion destroyed the stream bank, where these were found in a shale layer.
Pyrite is the classic "Fool's Gold".
