Meerkat Labradorite Rock Healing Stone Rainbow Flash
This lovely gemstone meerkat figurine is hand carved from iridescent Labradorite.
It is 3 inches tall by 1.22 inches wide and 1.4 inches deep.
Semi precious gemstone Labradorite has a background color of dark gray, but displays a beautiful iridescence, giving off rainbow-colored reflections known as labradorescence when light hits it in certain directions.
Labradorite is a feldspar and it shows the iridescent display of colors due to minute inclusions of another mineral.
It is named after where it was first found: Labrador, Canada, although our gemstone material comes from Madagascar.
Metaphysical Properties: Labradorite is thought by some to symbolize the moon and the sun. It is said to assist the wearer to handle changes, promoting strength and perseverance.
Meerkats are part of the mongoose family and Meerkats live in all parts of the Kalahari Desert in Botswana, in much of the Namib Desert in Namibia and southwestern Angola, and in South Africa.
Meerkats were made famous by the character Timon in the Disney movie The Lion King.
