Maw Sit Sit Unpolished Stone Slab Green Jade Small Rock
This small unpolished stone endcut of rare Maw Sit Sit green jade is just 2.4 inches or 61 mm long by 1.78 inch or 45 mm wide and and 2 mm to 12 mm at its thickest.
This lovely piece is actually an endcut-slabbed on one face-rough on the back and it weighs 35.4 grams and is shown wet in the fisrt 2 pictures.
This chunk of rock was coated with superglue for stability in cutting and it still has glue on the back rough side!
This is just a small cutting scrap, but it will still make a small pretty cabochon. It's also perfect as a pocket rock, as a talisman for its healing powers, for inlay, or to be used in other crafts.
Gorgeous vibrant green with white and black splotches, this is known as Maw Sit Sit, named after the village it was found near.
Maw-sit-sit has a hardness of 6.
Maw-sit-sit is composed of jadeite, chromite, ureyite, symplektite, chrome amphibole, and other lighter minerals.
