This polished green Malachite decorator rock is 6.5 inches by 4.5 inches and 1.1 inches at its thickest.
The semiprecious stone Malachite is slabbed and polished on the face and natural rough on the back.
This polished rock weighs 2 lbs.
It does NOT stand on its own as shown -but comes with a stand, and it could be recut!

Malachite is a copper carbonate. It has a hardness between 3.5 and 4. It crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system, and most often forms botryoidal, fibrous, or stalagmitic masses.
This material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits.
This stone's name is from the Greek, malache, - "mallow" in reference to its green leaf color.
Metaphysical Properties: Malachite is a very protective stone, being especially helpful for general protection, protection from evil, protection during pregnancy and childbirth, and protection for children. It is also an excellent protection stone during flying and other travel. Using this stone, one can counteract self-destructive romantic tendencies and help encourage true, pure love.
