This unique hand carved rainbow iridescent Labradorite stone wolf howling at the blue moon is 4.2 inches tall by 4.6 inches long and 1.4 inches thick.
Semi precious gemstone Labradorite has a background color of dark gray, but displays a beautiful iridescence, giving off rainbow-colored reflections known as labradorescence when light hits it in certain directions.
Labradorite is a feldspar and it shows the iridescent display of colors due to minute inclusions of another mineral.
It is named after where it was first found: Labrador, Canada, although our gemstone material comes from Madagascar.
