Frog or Toad Tigereye Rock Healing Stone
This hand carved Tigereye frog figurine is 4.5 inches long by 3.25 inches wide and 1.9 inches tall.
This is lovely Tiger's Eye or Tiger Eye from Africa.
Tiger's Eye is a quartz usually with rich yellow and brown stripes, but can be red or blue.
It contains oriented fibers of crocidolite that have been replaced by silica. The fibers are twisted or crumpled instead of straight, reminiscent of sand and sunlight.
Tiger-eye is also vitreous (hard, unbendable and glass-like).
With its strong chatoyance, the gemstone gets its name from its resemblance to the eye of a tiger.
The FROG represents healing, cleansing, health, and honesty. In myths they are bringers of rain or thunder, calling the water down with their croaking. In Ancient China toads were a symbol of longevity, and they were associated with Liu Hai, the God of wealth. In Rome, the frog was believed to bring good luck to the home.
