This beautiful hand carved Sesame Jasper gemstone elephant animal figurine carving is 6 inches long by 2.88 inches wide and 4.3 inches tall.
This elephant is not polished.
The semiprecious gemstone material is named both Sesame Jasper and Kiwi Jasper-both names derived from its appearance.
However, as is common in the rock world, this material is not a jasper. It's Amazonite, which is a microcline feldspar. The black spots are tourmaline and it has spots of quartz too.
The stone is found in New Zealand.
