Chinese Dragon Figurine in Wood Stand Labradorite Stone Carving
This hand carved Labradorite stone dragon relief figurine is 5.5 inches long by 5.5 inches tall and 2.9 inches thick.
The actual stone carving is 4.75 inches long by 3.8 inches tall and 1 inch thick.
The gorgeous gemstone carving sits in a custom made wood base, it does NOT stand on its own.
Semi precious gemstone Labradorite has a background color of dark gray, but displays a beautiful iridescence, giving off rainbow-colored reflections known as labradorescence when light hits it in certain directions.
Labradorite is a feldspar and it shows the iridescent display of colors due to minute inclusions of another mineral.
It is named after where it was first found: Labrador, Canada, although our gemstone material comes from Madagascar.
