The actual stone is 4.5 inches by 3.68 inches at its widest and 2 inches thick
It sits in a custom wood stand for a beautiful display piece, but it does stand on its own without the stand.
This is a natural stone displaying flower or chrysanthemum-like patterns in a black limestone matrix.
Many currently on the market are painted at least partially-mine are not. They are natural and simply ground down to display the pattern.
From Yonghe in Liuyang County of Hunan Province, China, this rock consists of celestine, calcite, andalusite or feldspar.
Chrysanthemum Stone formed due to geological changes that occurred 248-290 million years ago in the Permian Age of the Paleozoic Period.
