Carrasite Jasper Stone Slab Lapidary Rough Rock
This pink and tan semiprecious stone slab of Carrasite Jasper is 6.75 inches by 3.25 inches and 5 mm thick.
The unpolished rough rock slab weighs .30 lbs. and is shown wet in the first 2 pictures.
Carrasite Jasper comes from the famous Morrison Ranch area above the Owhyee Mountains of southeastern Oregon, near the Idaho border.
Carrasite Jasper is a nice porcelain gemstone jasper found in the same area as the famous Morrisonite Jasper and it looks very similar to it.
Carrasite Jasper was found and therefore named for Charlie Carras who mined the site in the 1970’s.
