Crystal Healing for Your Pet

Crystal Healing for Your Pet

Gemstones and crystals have been used for centuries to promote healing and well-being for humans, but did you know that they can also be very useful for your pets too?

Belief in the supernatural healing properties of rocks, crystals and minerals bringing peace, wellness and protection goes back beyond recorded history. So, if gemstones and crystals can help us with anything from reducing stress and anxiety to promoting emotional healing and physical well-being, it stands to reason that our pets can also enjoy these benefits too!

Obviously, the best way to offer these benefits is to place the stones or crystals in our pet’s environment. Warning please be aware if your pet is likely to chew or choke on a stone, do not use a small one or place it where they can get it!

Holding the stone or crystal while sitting quietly with your pet, or gently rubbing the stone over them or placing it on them-yes, pets have chakras too! If you really want to get fancy, you can get a collar made with stones or crystals or sew them into your pet’s sweater.

Placing a piece of Amethyst in or near your pet’s bed can promote relaxation and reduce stress.

Placing a Rose Quartz near their food or water bowl can promote a sense of love and connection. Or placing a Citrine Quartz nearby can help with digestion and overall well-being.

Crystals, such as labradorite, black tourmaline, and smoky quartz may offer support to pets experiencing anxiety, fear, or grief. Labradorite and Aventurine are powerful protection stones. Black Tourmaline and clear Quartz are grounding stones to help stabilize emotions and Smoky Quartz is believed to promote a sense of calm. My personal favorite stone is Chrysocolla. Chrysocolla is associated with serenity, tranquility, peace, patience, tolerance, acceptance, unconditional love, calmness, hope, gentleness and sensitivity.

If your pet is experiencing stress, anxiety from loud noises, separation anxiety, stones like Lepidolite, Blue Lace Agate, or Hematite may be helpful. Lepidolite is a calming stone. Blue Lace Agate encourages communication, and Hematite can help pets feel more secure,

Stones and crystals are a beautiful way to decorate your home, and even if you don’t believe in their healing powers, looking at them definitely can make you feel happy! And if you are happy, your pets are happy too!

Happy hunting.
